In this course, you will learn about the foundational building blocks to help you start a diagram, create your first Threat Model and also improve your security knowledge to build better models in the future to discover and mitigate more threats faster.

Audience:

You are the AppSec Champion working on the development of a project and as part of the DevSecOps team, focussed on delivering tasks to add incremental value to the product as new features, vulnerability mitigations, and maintenance or process automation emerge.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

Explain how a threat model in IriusRisk will help the team make more secure products.
Start a diagram in IriusRisk to help the team make better security decisions.
Understand why to add trust zones on your diagram.
Understand why and how to add your application components on your diagram.
Find and select the appropriate components and add them to your diagram.
Add data flows to your diagram to show how data gets into your product and how it is flowing between the components.
Add data assets to flows and components in your diagram to show where data is forwarded and processed in your product.
